I never had difficulty in writing about anything before. When I want to write for someone, my fingers glide on the keyboard. They expertly land on the letters of words I want to offer to the person. But, somehow, today, my best friends—words—elude me! Of all the days, they act up today… the day I write for the person who slit the black dome I wrapped around myself.
You see, I have laboriously built a large black dome around me. I wanted to shield myself from the pain the universe bestows upon its people. This black dome shielded me from pain outside of it. But because of this black dome, the pain already inside, kept growing every day. To you, thank you for slitting a hole in the dome. Thank you.

They watched a hundred movies together (half of it may have been in cinemas). They have watched so many movies, but he didn’t get to see the parts where people oohed and ahhed. He was busy looking at the person sitting next to him. He was more interested in seeing the marvel that is the woman getting wide-eyed from watching the best parts. That was the best part for him.
He’s lying on his bed now, staring at the ceiling, wondering how he lost all the best parts he has collected over the hundreds of movies watched together. He's witnessed her smile, although, it was from a distance. A crowd between them; and yet out of all the people crossing the pedestrian, hers was the only smile that captivated him. Maybe because out of all the people rushing through that lane, she was the only one smiling. It was contagious and he grins along as their shoulders brush past each other; not minding the rain, ignoring soaking socks making squeaky sounds. A laugh spreads across her face then a blush. He knew then, even though he'd love to keep wearing soaking socks to make her laugh along the lane if they ever met again, he would have to wash and dry them. He sooner realized: Laundry was an imminent part of the mundane life cycle. But so was, falling in love.
Twenty years ago, an enthralling, magical world was born. Twenty years later, it is still thriving and growing in the hearts of the people it has touched.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was published in 1997. Two years later my mom bought me a copy. At first, I was skeptical because I haven’t tried reading thick books. However, the skepticism vanished when I started reading. Then, I found myself turning page after page after page… never wanting to stop. I was enthralled. I have learned a lot from these seven books. But these are the top 7 life lessons I have gained from reading the Harry Potter series. No, scratch that! I did not just read it. I grew up with Harry, Hermione, and Ron. I was there with them, and I learned these valuable life lessons In the words of Sun Tzu himself--the great strategist--as soldiers in the cruel and dangerous field of legal studies, we must be prepared to face the enemies head on. And by enemies, I don't mean the law professors (Lol!), although they may pose a threat—serious threat at that—especially during oral recitations. But, no, they aren’t the real enemies. The real enemies are ourselves, the limitations we barricade around our capabilities, and the insecurities we have of others. We must prepare to defeat ourselves, so we can be champions in the field!
Our enemies aren’t only ourselves. We also need to wrestle with harsh lessons/discussions, mindboggling cases, and nerve-racking recitations and examinations. Okay, too much warfare blab, let’s get on with the weaponry and armory! Dancing Morphemes is nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by The Ugly Writers in one of their blogposts! Yay! Thank you TUW for acknowledging my three-blogpost (this is the fourth) young blog! Here are the guidelines for those who have been nominated:
I started this blog to deviate from the terrified ME. I have always wanted to start a blog...just so I could free my mind from the words that are constantly dancing in my mind. Sometimes, they're doing ballet, softly and gently pirouetting around the confines of my psyche. But, most of the times, they're krumping loudly and violently in my subconscious. I really wanted them to dance outside the backstage--that is my mind. I wanted them to freely dance however they like on the stage--in print or in the web. It took so long for me to pluck up the courage and let my brainchildren go on stage. I am, however, glad because I have already set them free...here in my blog--the Dancing Morphemes. My unsolicited advice for newbies (although I am a newbie, myself) are:
