He's witnessed her smile, although, it was from a distance. A crowd between them; and yet out of all the people crossing the pedestrian, hers was the only smile that captivated him. Maybe because out of all the people rushing through that lane, she was the only one smiling. It was contagious and he grins along as their shoulders brush past each other; not minding the rain, ignoring soaking socks making squeaky sounds. A laugh spreads across her face then a blush. He knew then, even though he'd love to keep wearing soaking socks to make her laugh along the lane if they ever met again, he would have to wash and dry them. He sooner realized: Laundry was an imminent part of the mundane life cycle. But so was, falling in love.
