Blogger Recognition Award

Dancing Morphemes is nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by The Ugly Writers in one of their blogposts! Yay! Thank you TUW for acknowledging my three-blogpost (this is the fourth) young blog!

Here are the guidelines for those who have been nominated:

1. Give recognition to the one who nominated you by including them in your list;
2. Nominate 15 bloggers/writers for the award;
3. Write a story about how/why you started your blog;
4. Give new bloggers/writers two pieces of advice; and
5. Provide a comment on each nominee's site/blog to tell them about the award with a link to this post.

So, first off, how/why was Dancing Morphemes born?
I started this blog to deviate from the terrified ME.
I have always wanted to start a blog...just so I could free my mind from the words that are constantly dancing in my mind. Sometimes, they're doing ballet, softly and gently pirouetting around the confines of my psyche.  But, most of the times, they're krumping loudly and violently in my subconscious. I really wanted them to dance outside the backstage--that is my mind. I wanted them to freely dance however they like on the stage--in print or in the web. It took so long for me to pluck up the courage and let my brainchildren go on stage.
I am, however, glad because I have already set them free...here in my blog--the Dancing Morphemes.

My unsolicited advice for newbies (although I am a newbie, myself) are:

1. annoy your doubts and fears by defying them; and
2. release your creativity.

When you are able to break free from your fears, you will be able to freely form your destiny based on how you imagined it to be. Your creativity may not always be enough to change the world around you, but, at the very least, it would change your world and widen your horizons.

• Paper Doll Writes is an aftereffect of an extremely shy girl's brave breaking down of her invisible barriers made up of doubts and fears and insecurities.  Read the Paper Doll's poetry here! 
• Living My Imperfect Life is a blog about the experiences of Sanchie (not her real name) and the reviews of books she has read.
• Musings of the Misguided is a blog which tackles mental health and parenting. I especially like Tegan's article on anxiety. You can find her here.
• Backhand Stories is a collection of flash stories that you'll finish reading in a few seconds but will leave a lasting impression on you.
• The Filipino Teacher is a blog which has a goal of helping teachers through writing educational articles that tackle about teaching strategies. They also hold seminars for Filipino teachers. If you're a teacher or an aspiring teacher or a lover of education, check the blog here.
• The Book Blvd is, as the name suggests, a blog for booklovers, booknerds, bookjunkies, or whatever they want to call themselves. If you love books, it is imperative that you check them out.
• The Philosophy of Awareness is a collection of deeply mind-boggling stories/dialogues. This is honestly a treasure chest!
• Speaking of treasure chests, The Filipino Historian is definitely a treasure chest too. It contains articles about the colorful history of the Filipino people.
• Proeticshadows is a blog about its author's life, experiences, books, and faith. If you want to be inspired, you should visit this blog!
• Your Lawyer Says is the largest community of Filipino lawyers, law students, and lovers of the law. It contains legal information which is cleverly intertwined with humor.

Once again, I would like to thank The Ugly Writers for acknowledging Dancing Morphemes. Thank you for seeing in my blog what I have always refused to see because I was afraid.
